On September 8, 2017, the EB-5 Regional Center program gasped an all too familiar breath of fresh air as the President signed off on H.R. 601. The appropriations bill provided funding for Hurricane Harvey victims and extended government programs. One of which is the EB-5 Regional Center program which is now set to expire on December 8, 2017. While the bill carried some significance in that a Republican President accepted a proposal from congressional Democrats, this is really nothing more than a short-term extension akin to kicking a can down the road.
